Sleep can get in the way most times
Dreams can lead you to the middle of nowhere
Still better hitch a ride on a dream
Than to rot with your thumb in the air

“Monotonia,” The Growlers

Hey, I’m Liam. Welcome to my website which is acting as sort of a portfolio and blog. I’m an artist who is interested in a variety of mediums, from songwriting and music production, to poetry and fiction, to video and filmmaking.

I love creating things, it’s always something I’ve done, and I’d love to be able to do it full-time. From deeply personal and catchy songs to abstract and romantic poetry, thought-provoking and comedic videos, and captivating and helpful writing, my creative works seek to inspire and connect with people who share similar interests and passions.

I think the world needs more artists who create from a deeply personal and authentic place and I aspire to be one of them—similar to the artists I looked up to throughout my life.

If my work resonates with you, consider signing up for my newsletter where I’ll share music, literature, and videos/films that I find meaningful and important as well as tips on how to create these types of art. If I stumble on some good life advice, I won’t hesitate to share that either. I’ll also be sharing any new projects I’m working on.

Thanks for joining me on this journey.

🖤 Liam.

The Purpose of Poetry (and why it’s so powerful)

What is Poetry? If you look up a formal definition, you’ll get something like, “Poetry is a type of literature, or artistic writing, that attempts to stir a reader’s imagination or emotions.” But the irony, of course, is that a simple, literal definition is, really, the antithesis of what poetry is about. I read a quote…

Why make art?

Without art, what are we?
